There is no hard fast rule when to celebrate with a vow renewal ceremony, however significant milestone anniversaries are a great time to celebrate. You may have spent the last five, ten, fifteen or twenty years together, it would be lovely to acknowledge that with your children, friends and family
You may have only been able to have a small wedding first time round, you may want to include your children in your ceremony or you may just be crazy in love and you simply want to say ‘I do’ all over again, holding a vow renewal ceremony is a great way to reignite the flame of passion.
Whether your celebration is a small gathering at home, a big bash in a local venue, indoors or outdoors your celebration can be as formal or as informal as you wish.
We’ll spend time together exploring your wishes and vision for your ceremony. You’ve built your life together, it’s your story and it’s my job to tell it! We’ll speak of the hurdles you’ve overcome together, the joys in your lives and how you’ll continue to support each other as you move through life together. I can offer support and guidance on the drafting of vows…or you may wish to pledge your original vows.
I can offer support and advice on choices for music, readings, poems and symbolic rituals such as hand-fasting, sand ceremony’s, unity candle lighting or ring warming, whereby the rings are passed round and blessed by family and friends. All rituals are great ways to involve your children, family and friends.
From initial consultation my support will include writing a bespoke, personalised ceremony ceremony from scratch, which will be delivered on the day with love, laughter and fun. I’ll oversee the smooth running of your ceremony on the day. You will receive a beautifully presented copy of your Vow Renewal Ceremony and a Vow Renewal certificate leaving you with keepsakes to treasure for life.
